CIG Shanghai Co., Ltd. Unveils Jiashan Factory II Boosting Global Manufacturing Capabilities
CIG Shanghai Co., Ltd., a global leader in optoelectronics and communications, officially inaugurated its Jiashan Factory II on March 3, 2026. The new facility marks a significant expansion of CIG’s manufacturing capabilities, driven by the execution of its investment strategy to focus on key areas that meet the growing demand for high-performance optical communication products and AI-driven infrastructure.
The ceremony was attended by Chairman and CEO Gerald Wong, along with other key senior leaders from CIG. Mr. Wong stated, “The launch of CIG’s Jiashan Factory II is a critical milestone in our long-term global supply chain strategy. As digital infrastructure and AI technologies continue to evolve rapidly, the demand for high-performance optical communication solutions has surged. This facility will allow us to strengthen our global operations, enhance CIG’s manufacturing capacity, and deliver secure, efficient, and sustainable products to our customers.”
Located in Zhejiang Province, CIG Jiashan Factory II is equipped with cutting-edge cleanroom production environments to enable advanced processes for laser and silicon photonic chip packaging and testing. These upgrades will significantly improve manufacturing efficiency and strengthen supply chain security and collaboration. Building on the operational success of Factory I, which has been instrumental in establishing CIG’s manufacturing presence, Jiashan Factory II will further expand the company’s ability to scale production and meet global demand for advanced optical communication technologies.
